Welcome to The Orchard Cafe and shop at CGS !!!
Our café is staffed by pupils from Key Stages 4/5 and boasts a variety of hot and cold drinks and snacks.
The Café is now open to parents and carers every Tuesday morning from 8.30am - 10.15am so come on down!

Working in our school shop, Chapel Orchard Cafe, that serves both primary and secondary pupils as well as parents and carers offers great experience for pupils interested in retail and customer service.
The different roles in the Cafe help to develop essential skills such as communication, teamwork and time management, as pupils interact with a wide range of of customers and work with their peers.
Responsibilities include managing stock, handling cash or electronic payments, serving and maintaining the shop's cleanliness and general organisation.
Pupils also gain insight into pricing and accounting, which provides a solid foundation for potential future roles.
This hands-on experience enhances problem solving skills, independence and confidence, building on prior knowledge and experiences.
Overall, working in Chapel Orchard Cafe prepares pupils for future career opportunities by combining practical skills with real world responsibility.
All pupils in Year 10, Year 11 and 6th Form will have the opportunity to work in Chapel Orchard Cafe and, all pupils from Primary to 6th Form will also have the opportunity to be customers (and sample seasonal treats!).
