Sophie Lawrence
Merton Police's Youth Engagement and Diversion Officer
PC Sophie Lawrence specialises in working with children with SEND. PC Sophie has been working in schools in Merton for ten years and spends one day a week with us in Cricket Green School, supporting us and offering advice. PC Sophie runs Police Academy for our year 7s, this gives them a taste of what it is like to be a Police Officer - they learn marching, various responsibilities and powers Police have, as well as meeting different Police departments. PC Sophie also runs a lunch club where children can investigate and solve a made-up crime.
